Allaire Village, Farmingdale, NJ.
This is a new event for us. It was a great site, a well run event and beautiful weather! Take a few minutes to see the 5th PA at this event.
MOLAND HOUSE, Hartsville, Warwick Township, Bucks Co., PA.
Moland House is always a fun, low-key event for us. We have a great time talking and interacting with the public through cooking demonstrations and the manual of arms, as well as a small skirmish for all to enjoy.
Battle of Monmouth, NJ, 2015
One of the few events that are held on the actual battlefield property! It is truly inspiring when you think about that during the battles. A good turnout & great weather this year. ( it wasn’t 95º ! )
Morrisville, NJ. Memorial Day Parade
All aboard!
MT. Vernon, VA
It has been a few tears since the last time reenacts were allowed to hold a full, multi-unit reenactment on the property of the historic Mt. Vernon, President Washington’s private plantation.
It was a truly awesome experience to have been able to participate in an event that allowed us to set up, right on the front lawn and other areas of the plantation, in sight of the main house and out buildings. The battles were well planned and involved all units. The battles were set so the viewing public would see almost all of the action.
We are looking for more photos of the 5th at this event! If you have some you could share, or know someone who has more, we would love to post them here.
Marching out to battle
Our scout is given his orders………..find the enemy!!
Our kitchen area
Our scout has his own special place by the fire.
Memorial Day services at the upper park, Washington’s Crossing Park, Thompson Neely House & Farmstead
It is the regiment’s honor to participate in this service & remembrance of our fallen in defense of freedom during the Revolution.
Battle of Newtown
This is a special reenactment that is held on Newtown Battlefield State Park in Elmira, NY. It was the site of the Battle of Newtown, fought in August 1779, during the American Revolutionary War.
What makes it special is the way that the public can be part of the action. The continental forces escort groups of the public through wooded trails, and are attacked by the Crown forces & Indian nations. The crowds are in the center of the action with musket follies all around them!
The image above shows the beautiful grounds we enjoy for the reenactment!
Relaxing in between the action.
Uniform malfunctions, and new trainees…..
One of the scouts for the 5th;
Trouble in the ranks, a court-martial?
The proper sentence is reached. ( the images are too terrible to post here )
