MOLAND HOUSE
This is always a fun and low-key event for us. We have a great day talking with the visiting public, providing cooking demonstrations and the manual of arms. We also have a small skirmish for the public to enjoy. All in all it is a fun day! The following images taken by 5th PA member, Melanie Schofield Worthington. A great unit picture!

Some more of our ladies, Karen, Joanne, Charie, & Trish pitch in for the meal!
Not only did the meal look good, it tasted delicious!! AND, of course, the men did their part for meal time…….
A meal has to be enjoyed to be fully appreciated!

NEWTOWN, NY
The reenactment at the Newtown Battlefield State Park in Elmira, NY, was the site of the Battle of Newtown fought in August 1779. The reenactment at the park is one of the most unique and fun events that we attend. There is a beautiful view from the site down into upper Pennsylvania.
The reason this reenactment is so much fun is because of the interaction of the public. The ‘battle’ itself is a constantly moving one, where the public is up close. The colonial forces battle against British and native american forces as well! Colonial forces also escort the public through the wooded trails while engaging and fighting off the British and Indian forces. It is truly awesome to have the public next to you as you form ranks and give fire to the enemy! The public loves it as well because they are never this close in a typical reenactment. These images were taken by 5th Pa member, Dave Sanders.
